Why we’d choose Teleprompter Pal for iPhone retakes
The script is ready, but the take still needs work. Teleprompter Pal lets you rehearse, record another version, play it back and save trim/crop edits for free. The script and original recording stay on your iPhone; no account is required for that local workflow.
Keep the original when you shorten the opening or change the frame. Return to a saved edit later, or restore the full take. Pro adds the finished MP4 and delivery to Photos, Files or Share. The annual plan suits this narrower job at a lower cost than the documented Speakflow Plus annual reference.
That recommendation rests on the workflow and annual offer, not a claim that local recording produces better-looking video. Text has a 1 MB safeguard, and scrolling uses a pace you set. See recording video with a script on iPhone or Teleprompter Pal’s plans.
Refine the take. Keep the original.
In our saved Teleprompter Pal device check, we shortened an 11.90-second original to a 7.90-second square MP4. The original remained available. We then restored its full length and original crop.

Delivery checks covered Photos, Files and Share Copy, plus reopening the edit after restarting the app. This is internal Teleprompter Pal development-build evidence. We have not tested Speakflow’s original-recovery behavior, and do not claim a comparative speed, image-quality or reliability win. Read the sanitized test record.
When Speakflow is the better fit
If matching a fixed pace is the hard part, consider Speakflow’s Flow mode. Its documentation says the text follows spoken words; Auto uses a set pace and Manual gives you direct control. Flow is limited on Free and unlimited with Plus. We have not measured recognition, latency or recovery after a repeated sentence.
Speakflow’s Remote mode can coordinate a script on more than one device. Keyboard shortcuts, bookmarks, commenting and real-time shared-script work can help when another person operates the prompt or reviews the wording. Teleprompter Pal currently does not offer those shared-script and remote controls.
The mobile-download guide describes an upload, processing and account-download workflow. That can be useful when you want a recording available through the workspace. Teleprompter Pal instead exports its saved take on-device. We have not audited either product’s privacy or compared transfer times.
Separate the free recorder from the teleprompter workspace
Speakflow has a standalone free webcam-recorder tool that documents recording and downloading without an account. Its account-based teleprompter recording guide separately says free users cannot save recordings. The table and plans here use the latter workflow; they do not claim Speakflow has no free way to record a video.
Speakflow also advertises a desktop beta. This page evaluates the documented web workspace on the devices it supports, including iPhone browsers. It does not establish whether every desktop feature has a native iPhone equivalent. Check the exact workflow you intend to use.
Try one script from recording to download
Use the same script, phone position and microphone. Include a pause and a repeated sentence, then compare the available prompting modes. For pacing, use the speech time calculator as a starting estimate with room for pauses.
Save the take, check the edit controls and original recovery, then deliver a sample and play it with sound outside the app or browser. In Speakflow, include the documented upload/processing/download stages. Its recording guide recommends short sessions around 10 minutes; that is developer guidance, not a comparative reliability test or a verified hard limit.
This is a suggested common task. We have not completed it in both products, tested Speakflow’s paid checkout, or timed its processing.

Can I save recordings for free?
Teleprompter Pal saves recordings and trim/crop edits locally for free; MP4 export and every delivery destination require Pro. Speakflow’s teleprompter recording guide says paid users can save takes. Its separate free webcam recorder documents free downloads without an account. Compare the correct workflow.
Does Teleprompter Pal follow my voice?
No. Teleprompter Pal uses a pace you set. Speakflow documents Flow voice scrolling, limited on Free and unlimited with Plus. We have not tested how it handles your language, voice or microphone.
