Teleprompter Pal vs Teleprompter.com

Why we’d choose Teleprompter Pal for recording and retakes

You have a script and want a take you can keep. Teleprompter Pal puts the set-speed reader, camera, playback and trim/crop edit together on iPhone. Rehearse, record another version and save the edit before deciding whether to pay for Pro export.

Keep the original when you shorten the opening or change the frame. Return to the edit later, or restore the full take. That reversible workflow is what we have checked in Teleprompter Pal. The $59.99 annual Pro plan suits this narrower job when you do not need the competitor’s wider toolset.

No account is required for Teleprompter Pal’s local workflow. Scripts have a 1 MB text-size safeguard. We have not verified the competitor’s account requirement for local recording, so this is not a comparative privacy claim. See recording video with a script on iPhone or Teleprompter Pal’s plans.

Refine the take. Keep the original.

In our saved Teleprompter Pal device check, we shortened an 11.90-second original to a 7.90-second square MP4. The original remained available. We then restored its full length and original crop.

Delivery checks covered Photos, Files and Share Copy, plus reopening the edit after restarting the app. This is internal Teleprompter Pal development-build evidence. We have not tested Teleprompter.com’s original-recovery behavior, and do not claim a comparative speed, image-quality or reliability win. Read the sanitized test record.

When Teleprompter.com is the better fit

If you need the script to follow your speech, try Teleprompter.com’s VoiceGlide. Its developer says the feature runs on-device, pauses with you and works offline, including on the free plan. We have not measured recognition accuracy, latency or recovery after an ad-lib. Test it with your language, voice and microphone.

Teleprompter.com also documents PDF/Word import and a cloud library across iOS, Android, Mac and web. Its remote tools can use a second device, Apple Watch or keyboard. Those features matter when someone else operates the prompt or you write on one device and record on another.

Its recording tools include captions, resizing, background effects and Clean Audio. The free Starter offer allows a watermarked 1080p video; Pro adds watermark-free 4K on supported devices. Teleprompter Pal currently has no built-in captions, voice following or cloud script sync. Choose the broader app when those requirements outweigh the lower annual export price.

Check what “free” gets you at export

Teleprompter Pal lets you work on the script and recording for free, but every MP4 export and Photos, Files or Share delivery requires Pro. Teleprompter.com’s documented Starter export is free with a watermark. That is a real advantage if you need to send a clip today and can accept its branding.

For an annual paid choice, compare the purchase confirmation and the actual tools you will use. Do not buy Teleprompter Pal expecting VoiceGlide or captions. Do not assume a lower price proves better image quality, simpler operation or greater reliability.

Try the same pause, retake and edit

Use one script, phone position and microphone in both apps. Include a deliberate pause and a repeated sentence. Try set-speed prompting first, then the competitor’s voice mode if that is why you are considering it. Use the speech time calculator to estimate the length with room for pauses.

Trim the start, change the frame and reopen the saved edit. Check whether you can return to the original. Export a sample, look for a watermark and play it with sound outside the app. This is a suggested evaluation task, not a matched test we have completed.
