Why we’d choose Teleprompter Pal for a focused iPhone workflow
You have a script and want a usable recording. Teleprompter Pal keeps that job together: edit your words, rehearse, record with the text near the lens, then trim, crop and export. You do not need a Teleprompter Pal account for this local workflow. Scripts and original recordings stay on your iPhone. Teleprompter Pal’s workflow and support details.
That focus is our reason to choose Teleprompter Pal when you already have an editor or a place to publish. You can finish the take in Teleprompter Pal and export an MP4 with Pro for your existing process. If you want a walkthrough first, see how to record a video with a script on iPhone.
Font size, pace and panel placement are adjustable, so you can bring the words close to the lens instead of reading across the whole screen. Teleprompter Pal’s current scrolling uses a set pace. It does not automatically follow your speech. For the setup itself, use our guide to reading naturally on camera.
Refine the take. Keep the original.
A good take can need a shorter opening or a different crop. In our Teleprompter Pal device check, an 11.90-second original became a 7.90-second square export. The original remained available, and we restored its full length and original crop afterward.

We checked delivery to Photos, Files and Share Copy, then reopened the edit after restarting the app. This is evidence of Teleprompter Pal’s workflow, not proof that it exports faster or looks better than BIGVU. Read the sanitized device-test record.
When BIGVU is the better fit
Choose BIGVU if you want automatic captions, AI script generation, branding or a connected cloud/web publishing process. Its iPhone listing describes a wider video-production toolkit than Teleprompter Pal currently offers. iPhone feature source.
BIGVU also documents voice-controlled scrolling and script cues. Its description says Voice Control pauses scrolling when you stop talking; we have not tested that behavior or measured speech-tracking accuracy. If this is essential, try it with your pauses and background noise before choosing. Mobile control source.
Teleprompter Pal is our pick when your priority is local iPhone recording, reversible edits and a lower annual price for Pro export. You can rehearse, record and edit before paying for export.
Before you switch, try one complete take
Use the same short script, camera and lighting. Set a readable text size, record through a pause, make one retake, trim the opening and export to the destination you actually use. Watch that exported file with sound. Check whether the original is still recoverable and which steps ask you to pay.
Our speech time calculator can help you choose a short sample. If neither workflow fits, the iPhone teleprompter app shortlist covers more options.
