The inspected US listing shows no in-app purchase or recurring subscription offer. Its support guide describes saving and sharing after recording without a separate Pro tier. We have not verified every possible in-app offer or a watermark/export task.
No free trial is listed in these sources. Do not treat this download price as a promise of perpetual updates, support or future features.
Before buying
Voice following can need a speech-model download and preparation. The developer describes an Apple on-device path or a Whisper model of about 150–220 MB, plus preparation files. Confirm the language and available storage you need.
The listing supports Family Sharing when enabled. Confirm the current purchase terms and regional price in Apple’s checkout.
US dollars, checked 24 October 2026. Teleprompter Pal’s trial is annual and eligibility-dependent; monthly and weekly plans have no introductory trial. Free editing and paid delivery are separate decisions. Why we’d choose Teleprompter Pal for a scripted take
You want to try the whole preparation and editing routine before deciding whether to pay for delivery. Teleprompter Pal puts scripts, set-speed rehearsal, camera recording, playback and saved trim/crop edits in a free iPhone workflow.
The original stays separate from the saved edit. Shorten an opening, choose a square crop, reopen the changes or restore the original length and framing. Pro adds every MP4 export and Photos, Files or Share delivery. That retained-original workflow is the specific reason we recommend Teleprompter Pal here.
Teleprompter Pal supports iOS 18 and later and has a 1 MB text safeguard. Follow the iPhone script-recording guide, see the user guide or check Teleprompter Pal’s plans. Selvi’s equivalent saved-edit/reset task remains unverified, rather than assumed absent.

In our saved Teleprompter Pal device check, we shortened an 11.90-second original to a 7.90-second square MP4, then restored the original length and crop. The original remained available.

The check also covered Photos, Files, Share Copy and reopening the edit after restarting the app. It used an internal development build. We have not performed this exact reset task in Selvi. When Selvi is the better fit
You prefer an inexpensive upfront app purchase and want voice-following prompting. Selvi’s current native app documents that combination, along with recording, playback, Photos saving and sharing. It also supports iPad and iOS 17, while Teleprompter Pal’s approved release scope is iPhone on iOS 18 or later.
Selvi’s support guide explains switching between Timed and Follow voice. Recognition needs the required model prepared first; the developer says quality varies with language, accent, noise and device. We have not benchmarked those conditions or compared it with other voice engines.
Both apps offer a no-account script and recording workflow. Selvi’s movable reading window and the text staying out of the saved video are shared benefits, not exclusive Teleprompter Pal wins. Its current sources do not establish the saved trim/crop/reset task we checked internally in Teleprompter Pal.
Which Selvi are we comparing?
This is Selvi – Teleprompter Camera by Serhii Halchynskyi, US app ID 1130793067. Apple’s lookup returned version 3.0.1, released 8 September 2026, with iOS 17 or later. The developer’s support instructions cover Selvi 3.0. We are not treating old-version reviews as tests of the current app.
Its current support guide describes a saved-video library, keeping the original in the app if Photos saving fails, and sharing the video file. That storage behavior does not verify restoring a full-length, uncropped original after saving an edit. Its Reset window position command resets the reading overlay, not recorded-video edits.
Selvi describes local scripts and recognition after model preparation. We have not audited either app’s network behavior, privacy or offline performance. Moving a reading overlay, mirroring a camera preview and reflecting text for a physical rig are also different tasks; no physical rig was tested here.
The recording task still to test
We inspected official Selvi sources and the relevant Teleprompter Pal implementation. We did not purchase Selvi or complete a fresh recording, export or original-reset task in it. The table distinguishes documented features from the saved Teleprompter Pal device evidence.
For a matched trial, use the same original script, device orientation and camera. Rehearse at a set pace, record, save a copy, trim, crop, reopen the edit and try restoring the original length and framing. Record the app version, permissions, purchase state, output format, dimensions and destination. The speech time calculator can help plan the script.
Evaluate Selvi’s voice mode separately after its model is ready. Include silence, a correction and a return to an earlier line in a language you use. Those checks would test behavior; a green documented-feature mark does not establish recognition accuracy or export quality. We have not completed this matched task.

Is Selvi a dedicated teleprompter app?
Yes. Selvi by Serhii Halchynskyi combines a script reader and camera for iPhone and iPad. This comparison covers version 3.0.1 and the current version 3.0 support guide.
Can I try either app before paying?
Teleprompter Pal’s scripts, rehearsal, recording, playback, trim/crop and saved edits are free. Every MP4 export and delivery requires Pro. Selvi’s current US listing requires a $2.99 app purchase; the inspected sources list no free trial.
Is Selvi cheaper than Teleprompter Pal?

Does Teleprompter Pal follow my voice?
The reviewed implementation uses a pace you set. Selvi documents Follow voice, with model setup and language/device limitations. We have not run a matched recognition test.
Can Selvi restore the original after a crop or trim?
We have not verified that task. Selvi’s reading-window reset and keeping a video when Photos saving fails do not establish saved-video edit restoration. Our saved internal Teleprompter Pal check covered reopening changes and restoring the original length and crop.
Does the reading text appear in Selvi’s saved video?
Its support guide says the prompt and controls stay out of the saved video; the recording contains camera footage and microphone audio. That is a developer-documented feature, not a fresh export check. Teleprompter Pal also records the camera separately from its reading interface.
