In our saved Teleprompter Pal device check, we shortened an 11.90-second original to a 7.90-second square MP4, then restored the original length and crop. The original remained available.

When StoriesStudio is the better fit

Consider StoriesStudio when automatic subtitles or script-writing help matter more than the focused retake workflow. Its listing advertises Premium captions and 4K recording; release history documents AI writing/editing and scroll controls. Teleprompter Pal does not currently generate captions or provide AI script assistance in the reviewed implementation. Its 4K capture/export capability is unverified here.

Its listed weekly prices are lower. Check the offered features and renewal period for the plan you can actually select. The listing also supports iPad and iOS 16.1+, while Teleprompter Pal is an iPhone app for iOS 18 and later.

StoriesStudio and its current App Store name

The official StoriesStudio site links to Teleprompter App Record Videos by Andrew Lee, app ID 1507263544. The same store description uses the StoriesStudio name. One comparison covers both names for this iPhone product.

The site also offers a separate free browser teleprompter with a test-take recorder. Its no-sign-up, recording and volume-based “Voice follow” claims do not establish the iPhone app’s free entitlements, account rules or speech-recognition features.

The reviewed sources do not establish its exact trim/crop controls, saved-edit reset, script limit, account requirement or free reader-to-export route. Those are useful checks before choosing. An unknown in the table is a question to verify, not a claim that the feature is absent.

Try one script through recording and export

Use the same short script, camera position and microphone. Include a pause and a repeated sentence. Set a starting pace with the speech time calculator, record a take, review it, trim the opening and choose a square crop.

Close and reopen the editable work. Check whether the full length and original framing can be restored. Try the delivery destination you need, note any payment or watermark step, and play the saved file with sound outside the app. If you need captions, test a name, a pause and a correction too.

This is a suggested common task. We have not completed a matched StoriesStudio recording/export run, inspected its iPhone purchase sheet or timed either workflow. The source research is not a device test.
